200 acres with ~0 acre~ in golf course. Parks were discussed. <br />They d$d not have any land set aside for parks_,but with the 60 <br />homesites it was felt :we needed park land:because children should <br />not be crossing Highway No. ~7 or playing along the rive~.: The <br />developer said they would give us ~ acres for.parks in :the residen- <br />tial par~ and pay park fee on the balance. Hr. Hall felt the golf <br />course was recreation but as Hr. Reimann pointed out i this was not <br />a free golf course and the recreational, area~ in:the .town houses <br />would not be open to the children Living in the.60 homesite resi- <br />dential area. Mr. Hall said the State wa~ts !~gth Ave. 'to~ even- <br />tually come out on Highway No. ~7. This plan will be shown to <br />the Park Board which wf'~l! meet on this subject before' the next <br />Town Board meeting, <br /> <br />Mr. NcGrath, 6805 Gree~ Valley Road.. wants a horse variance to <br />build a pole barn on his property. He has threeacres and .three <br />horses. He rides the horses on his property and on Hunt,s pro- <br />perty. A pole type building is planned. A motion was made by <br />Mr. Bodle to recommend we grant this variance. Hr. NcGrath had <br />signed statements from the surrounding property owners that it <br />was agreeable with th~a. Seconded by Mr. Eammns.. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hr. Ronald D~.uer~ Re:~uested permission to bUild a cabinet shop <br />on his property at 17530 Nowthen Blvd. He brought ~signed slips <br />fromh~s neighbors stating they had no objection ~o this .Cabinet <br />shop going in there, Th~ building would, be. $OxAO. He and his <br />father will build .the cabinets' in this .building. It was sug- <br />gested he go ~o the County about another driveway co~tng' out. on <br />Nowthen Blvd. Mr. Springer moved we recommend that thiS, ,variance <br />be granted. Seconded by Mr, Bodle. Wants permission <br />to have a 2~40 sign shop built on the back end of his' lot. He <br />brought per~kssion slips from the surrounding property owners Stat- <br />ing they did not object to this sign shop going, in. He said there <br />would be no additional traffic and that he would be the only person <br />worming in this shop. He said he d~ivered his. signs. He has lost <br />his lease to the medical center,ping into Anoka. The building would <br />be frame with a hip roof and will conform to the buildings in the <br />neighborhood. Mr. Bodle moved we recommend this variance .be _granted <br /> to build this sign shop on the back of his lot. Seconded by Hr. <br />Emmans. Motion carried~ <br /> <br />Hagen. Builders: Plat Autumn .Heights .' Preliminary plat on. Highway <br />No. 83 Just north of T~ott'Brook. Hr. Springer .said the Park Board <br />had walked the whole P~°p°sedoParkab land. of .this plat. There are <br />~O lots in 120 acres~ a out 5 acres in parks. They Will build a <br /> <br />baseball field. Mr. Pittman moved we recom~ami this plat :for pass- <br />age. 'Seconded by Mr. ~p.~nger.': Mo_tion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Menkveld~ ~ts to rezone land at Highway No. ~7 and <br />151st Avenue for a garden shop. This is a four ton road and they <br />would have to watch th~s fact when receiving deliveries. ~e will <br />have apublic hearing o~ this question on Nay.2Oth at-7~00 p.m. Mr. <br />Springer moved we take this ~atter to a public hearing *n' Nay 20th' <br />at 7:00 p.m. Seconded by Hr.
