Commissioner Nosan stated the utility bill seems like it would be a better indication than homesteading. <br /> <br />Commissioner Andrusko suggested considering working with the townhome associations. <br /> <br />Chairperson Levine noted that this overall plan is very important; the Planning Commission needs to <br />stay abreast of these matters. <br /> <br />th <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked about bringing in current and past developers for the March 24 <br />workshop. <br /> <br />th <br />Commissioner Bauer stated March 24 is Holy Thursday. <br /> <br />Chairperson Levine suggested the meeting date be changed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer stated that he recently saw an apartment building where first floor was actually <br />the garage but appeared as livable units. <br /> <br />Chairperson Levine asked for clarification on the Watershed Management Organization. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Gladhill and City Planner Anderson provided additional information <br />about the Watershed Management Organization. <br /> <br />Chairperson Levine asked for more information on the comprehensive water supply system. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Gladhill provided additional information and stated that the City had <br />conducted a pilot study several years ago on the potential for using surface water from the Mississippi <br />River. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bauer asked whether any thought had gone into those that are on private wells if the <br />aquifer were to dry up and suggested that this be considered as part of any refresh of the comprehensive <br />water supply plan. <br /> <br />Chairperson Levine suggested the address data base work should be shifted to 2016. Consensus of the <br />commission was to shift it to 2016.
