ASBESTOS MATERIAL SURVEY <br />CITY BUILDING <br />15153 NOWTHEN BLVD <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br />2.1 LIMITATIONS <br />EPA Inc. made reasonable attempts to access all areas of the building as presented <br />within the scope of this work. The following areas and/or materials were not able to be <br />accessed or tested due to safety concerns or other limitations. <br />• A limited number of penetrations were made in the exterior structure walls to identify if <br />insulation fill (Le. vermiculite) was used. Fiberglass was identified in the upper floor <br />walls. <br />• The two green vibration cloths on the HVAC system should be assumed as <br />asbestos containing. <br />3.0 BUILDING DESCRIPTION <br />The project consisted of a one-story commercial building <br />• The interior walls are primarily metal framing with sheetrock application. <br />• The exterior wall on the building has a brick finish <br />• The ceilings were sheetrock with ceiling tile, ceiling spray -on texture or <br />suspended ceiling tiles <br />• The floors consist mostly of carpet on concrete with ceramic tile in the bathroom. <br />• The roof has a metal roof deck with an asphalt BUR membrane system <br />4.0 SUSPECT BUILDING MATERIALS <br />Representative bulk samples of suspect ACM building materials were collected from the <br />duplex. The identified materials that were considered suspect and subsequently <br />sampled include: <br />• Ceiling Tile/texture <br />• Flooring materials <br />• Carpet Clue <br />• Mopboard/glue <br />• SheetrocI Ijt compound <br />• Sink soundproofing <br />• Exterior damproofing <br />• Boiler stack insulation <br />• Caulking <br />• Roofing materials <br />Of the materials sampled, the following were found to be asbestos containing. <br />• 12x12 tan floor tile/black mastic <br />• 12x12 black floor tile/black mastic <br />• 12x12 tan floor tile/black mastic (Fire Squad Room) <br />• Plastic roof cement <br />• 2 green cloth vibration cloths on HVAC (boiler room) <br />• Sink Soundproof (Sr. Kitchen) <br />• Exterior damproofing (below grade) <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd, Ramsey, MN 7 ©2012 EPA, Inc. <br />
