Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-04-077 RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER#1, #2, AND #3 AND PARTIAL PAYMENT TO BRENNEN CONSTRUCTION OF MN, INC. FOR IP #14-30 FIRE STATION #2 WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion adopted on January 27, 2015,the City Council adopted plans and specifications and authorized advertising for bids for Fire Station 42; and WHEREAS,the bid of Brennan Construction in the amount of$3,135,000.00 was the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS,pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council on April 14, 2015 adopting Resolution 415-04-079, Brennan Construction of MN, Inc. was awarded a contract for said work; and WHEREAS,the following change orders have been submitted by BKV Group making the proposed total contract amount $3,201,097.00: Change Order#01-Labor in the amount of$10,403.00 Change Order 401-Material in the amount of$4, 098.00 Change Order 402-Labor in the amount of$21,795.00 Change Order 402-Material in the amount of$23,722.00 Change Order 403-Labor in the amount of$3,808.00 Change Order 403-Material in the amount of$2,271.00; and WHEREAS,the BKV Group recommends approval of Change Order 41, 42, and 43- labor and material; and WHEREAS, this Resolution 416-04-077 supersedes Resolutions 415-11-282, 416-01- 002, 416-02-035, and 416-02-036; and WHEREAS, as of March 21, 2016, $2,941,660.75 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS,the BKV Group has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payments to Brennan Construction in the amounts of$40,318.95 and $11,255.60 for a total of $51,574.55. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the City Council hereby approves: Change Order#01-Labor in the amount of$10,403.00
