Councilmember Shryock introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />#16-05-101 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PERMANENT TRAIL EASEMENT AGREEMENT <br />ON OUTLOT B, NORTHFORK AND OUTLOT A, NORTHFORK TRAIL <br />ADDITION <br />WHEREAS, the City finds it in the public interest to provide a public <br />pedestrian trail connection through Outlot B, Northfork, and Outlot A, Northfork Trail <br />Addition to serve the needs of City residents (the "Public Improvement Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Improvement Project provides a reasonable alternate <br />pedestrian connection to the connection identified in the City's Master Park and Trail Plan <br />along Andrie Street NW and 164th Lane NW; and <br />WHEREAS, the City agrees to acquire the easements necessary for the Public <br />Improvement Project as described in the legal descriptions included in the easement <br />agreement in Exhibit A (the "Permanent Easements"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City declares that it is in the public interest to acquire the <br />Permanent Easement above described. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That in order to carry out the purposes and objectives described above it is <br />necessary to acquire the Permanent Easement. <br />2) That the City Administrator is hereby directed to acquire the Permanent <br />Easement as described above in accordance with Minnesota Statutes. <br />3) That the City Administrator is authorized to negotiate and represent the City of <br />Ramsey in all proceedings. <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Williams <br />Resolution #16-05-101 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
