Co~ncilmember adoption: i~troduced the following resolution and moved its RESC~UTION #87- RES(LUTION ~3TH~IZI~3 A MODIFICATION TO THE TAX INf~EMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 TO AI~ ~lq EXPE~DI~/3R~: FOR SITE IMPRfNEMENTS AND C~LLIN3 FOR A PUBLIC HEARI/~ ON A ~DDIFICATION OT THE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 AND TO THE TAX INCREMENT FINkNCII~ P~AN FOR TAX INCI{EMENT DISTRICT ~2 WHEREA~;, the City Co[nell by action on August 27, 1985 adopted a development program for Deve[oi~ent District No. 1; and WHEREAS, the City Council by action on June 30, 1986 modified the development program for Devetoi~ent District No. 1 and adopted a tax increment financing plan for Tax Increnent Financing District #2; and WHEREAS, JJt is necessar/ to modify the plan to authorize an expenditure for certain site imprcw~ent~ not presently mentioned in the Plan; and WHEREA~:, it is necessary to modify said program and plan to include additional property within tie development district and tax increment financing district. NG~ ~EREFORE, BE IT RF~LVE~) BY THE CITY OOUNCIL CF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STA~ OF MINNESOTA, ~ follows: LeFevere, Lef]er, ~-{ennedy, O'Brien & Drawz, as special counsel is hereby' authorized and directed to prepare a modification to the financing plan for ~ax Increment Financing District No. 2 to allow for certain site improvements and to prepare modifications to said develoIxaent pro, ram ~]d tax increment financing plat to reflect the additional pro.per~. The Ciby staff is h~reby authorized and directed to take all actions necessary to prepar~ and present the modification of the Plan to the City ©3uncil as exl~ditiously as is reasonably possible. e The Clerk-Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to submit said amended develo)ment program and tax increment financing plan to the appropriate school board and to the Anoka County Board of C~ssioners for c(~mae, nt. The Clerk-Administrator is authorized and directed to prepare a notice for publication in the official newspaper setting a public hearing before the City Co~n]cil on the modifications to said development program and tax inc~ment financing plan on the 24th day of February, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. ;in the Council Chambers and that such notice be published at least ~nce in said newspaper at least 10 but not more than 30 days prior to such public hearing.
