In years past the City has <br />advertised for bids for ~rovid[ng this service. Concerns of Council a~d Staff <br />about past clJ~aics is primarily7 that the veterinarian provide ~ufficient staff <br />to handle the volu~es of patients seeking this service. Simultaneously, City <br />Staff assures that each pet is licensed before they leave the facility. When <br />the veterinarian does not provide sufficient staff, then City Staff is relied <br />upon to assist the veterinaria~.
