4.01: Future Business Park Update - continued <br />Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama stated the EDA has reconvened from <br />the closed session and gave a general overview of the Closed Session discussion. <br />Member Williams stated in addition to the discussion they had in the Closed Session, she did not <br />support using the 50 plus acres along the west side of Puma for residential use. <br />Member Riley agreed and stated he thought the EDA should forward this for the City <br />Comprehensive Plan review. <br />4.02: Aeon Purchase Agreement <br />Economic Dev. Mgr/Assistant City Administrator Brama presented the staff report. <br />Mr. James Lenhoff, VP Housing and Development of Aeon Portfolio, made a presentation to the <br />EDA on what Aeon Portfolio designs and builds. <br />Ms. Leslie Roerin, Project Manager for Aeon Portfolio, reviewed the project concept with the <br />EDA. <br />Member Skaff stated there is a green area on the footprint and he wondered if this will remain a <br />green area or possibly another project. <br />Ms. Roerin stated there is a possibility of a future project if needed and if the market warrants it. <br />She reviewed some possible projects with the Board. <br />Chairperson Steffen asked if the fifty to sixty units being proposed are all within phase one. <br />Ms. Roerin stated the current project would have fifty to sixty units. <br />Chairperson Steffen wondered if the residents of the current project would want to know there is <br />a possibility of future development. <br />Ms. Roerin thought with the amenities available there for the residents, there will be some green <br />space and a place for children to play as well. <br />Chairperson Steffen asked what Aeon likes about Ramsey besides the parks and trails. <br />Ms. Roerin stated they liked the location to transit and the amenities that are already in the City. <br />The transit system will connect the residents with other cities and having the clinics and schools <br />in the area are also a bonus. <br />Mr. Lenhoff stated there is also the potential for job growth and manufacturers in the City as <br />well. He stated there is a need to see a wide range of housing opportunities out there for the <br />Economic Development Authority/May 5, 2016 <br />Page5of9 <br />
