I can still get at the areas that need to be insulated. I was at a job
on Monday where they forgot about me and put ductwork up where I needed to work. A real pain to deal with.
As far as the change order:
I will have to do the insulation after the windows and exterior trim is in. The exterior has to be completely sealed, or the
foam will squirt through and make a real mess on the exterior side of the building, and glass. Apparently the stairs are
going in first, so the interior work will have to be done from ladders or a scaffold deck. My understanding is that the
framers are going to scaffold everything for their work, so I will get scheduled between their framing, and their finishing.
The spray foam will need to be covered with a spray -on fire barrier, like the rest of the project.
Based on the above, foam at the tower rim joist will be $1100.
Tom Unruh
612-872-0169
Therma Spray, Inc
1
