4/20/16
We would like to thank the cities of Ramsey and Anoka for taking
the time to address the questions and concerns of the Rivlyn avenue
residents regarding the relocation of Riverplace Counseling Center from
South Ferry Street to 6058 Highway 10.
As residents of the area, we have seen the type of activity that
goes on at the Ferry Street location. We understand the reasons why
the City of Anoka wants to move the counseling center because they are
the very same reasons we don't want it in Ramsey.
The following are some of the items we would like to have
addressed by the City of Anoka, the City of Ramsey or a more
appropriate government agency.
Improper Notification
On 1/2/15, the Union Herald mentions the sale of the property as a
frontage road which would serve Kings Island.
The people who lived on the property until it was sold were told it
was going to be a parking lot which would serve the new bike trail.
There were no signs announcing property use and we were not
sent any letters informing us of the project.
Is there a notification process that the City of Anoka needs to
follow to satisfy the legal aspect of building this project?
Why were we not notified?
1
