Case #6: Introduce Amendment to City Code Section 4.40.06 Subdivision 10 Relating <br /> to Water Use Restrictions <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson explained this amendmem to the City'Code relates to <br />water use restrictions and staff recommends approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Councitmernber Cook. seconded by Councihnember zimmerman, to introduce an <br />ordinance modifying section 4.40.06 subd 10 relating to sprinkling and limitations on use of.the <br />municipal water system. - ~ ~ _ <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councitmembers Cook, Zimmerman, Elvig, Kurak,~ <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: Consider Introduction of an Or'dinance Authorizing .the Sale of Lot 2, Block <br /> 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park Second Addition~ Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained the City is negotiating a T-IF-'a~eement with Rotary Systems, <br />Inc. As parr of the transaction, the City is to convey title to Lot 2, Block I~, SUNFISH LAKE <br />BUSiNESS PAR/( SECOND ADDITION to Rotary Systems, Inc... In .order to complete this <br />transaction a sale ordinance needs, to be. introduced and adopted authorizing the sale. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by' Councilmember Kurak, to introduce an <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of Lot2, Blockl, SUNFISH LAKE BUSINESS PARK SEC'OND <br />ADDITION. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Kurak, Cook, Elvig, <br />Pearson, and Zimmen,nan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Consider Adoption of Rm'al Developing Interim Ordinance; Case of City of <br /> Ramsey -_ <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Trudgeon reviewed at the April 27, 2004 Council meeting a <br />public hearSng was held regarding the adoption of the Rural Developing Interim Ordinance. The <br />proposed interim ordinance would prohibit all platting and subdividing in the R-i' Rural <br />Developing Zoning District. The ordinance does allow for exceptions, based on hardship. The <br />City will continue to issue building permits for existing lots while the moratorium is in effect. <br />Staff anti'c/pates asking the City Council to discuss changes to the R-1 Rural Developing Zoning <br />District ar a future work session, before bringing a revised ordinance to the Planning <br />ComlnxSs~on for their consideration. The proposed mter/m ordinance ~s now eligible' for <br />adoption. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated there have been many comments from citizens about there being a <br />moratorimn again and shutting down development. He has tried to explain this is just to get in <br />line for development in ~he future for certain areas. People do not want to .see this go into <br />something where it will go on for two years. For some of the elderly people it is now their <br />opportunity to move ahead and some of them have been trying to find out how they can <br />subdivide.
