Last year $1,300 from the Lawful Gamblit~g /fund was spent for 500 tree books, which equaled $2.60 per copy, and the supply was almost depleted. Staff; positive comments regarding the books were reviewed and the Commission w~s asked ifl. hcy '~ enid like to approve ordering a new supply of tree books. Civil Engineer 1[ i~inton noted a toll was taken at City Hall and staff was unanimous in its recommendation to order a new supi~ly of tree books. It was provided to new residents and Chris Anderson, thc tree inspector used tlem when he visited homeowners. The recommendation was to reorder', as no one had aniChing n ~gafive to say about the tree books. Chairperson Johns asked if they cot~ ~d be available in time for the Expo. Parks and Utilities Supervisor Rive~bic}od stated staff could look for an appropriate place within the budget; however, it would be ~elpful if the Commission made a recommendation that the money come fi'om the Lawfi~l GamOling Fund if another source could not be found. Chairperson JohllS asked if there w~,uld be co-booths. Commissioner Olds responded he k elieved there would be co-booths. Discussion fi)llowed regarding w3~o would be in the booth and what times they would be available. Chairp~;rson Johns indi :ated she could be available the entire time. It was decided Commissioner Olds and Commissi:me~- Lehman would be available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Commissioncr Pontius would ~e available from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Chairperson Johns indicated she would check if Comn,issioner Ostrum was available on that date.
