Presentation <br /> <br />Commnn ity Development Director ~,5'oiik advised the Environmental Overlay regulations of City <br />Code arc the remaining sections o~ Chapter 9 in need of updating as a result of the adoption of <br />the new Comprehensive Plan. St'~c indicated these sections include Flood Plain, Rum River <br />Overlay District, Shorcland Manag~ mcnt, Mississippi Overlay District, and Wetlands. She stated <br />thc review tonight is on the Shorcla~d Management sections. <br /> <br />Community l)evclopment l)irectcc t:rolJk stated the proposed modifications to the State <br />Shorcland Management model ordil ~ance include: <br /> >- Section 9.24.05 subct. 6 State model provides a maximum height of 25 feet for <br /> residential structures. The Cify is requesting flexibility under MN Rules 6120.2800 <br /> Subd. 3. h]lplcmentati{m Flcxibility, to allow structures to be 35 feet in height. <br /> <br />Section 9.2,[.05 Subd.5. Lot Ama and Width Standards <br /> <> The City would like to describe the unit types in a more identifiable manner using <br /> the ~ umber of milts l:~er building: single unit, two-unit, three-unit and four-unit. <br /> ,r:ondominium owne'ship is a common arrangement in twinhome and townhome <br /> ~'esidcntial developme~xt:s. Platting techniques for these developments makes it <br /> difficult to apply bulk ~;tandards when the land area of a unit includes what is <br /> within the confines ~)f the walls. The proposed ordinance aggregates the private <br /> unit land with lbo common areas and dividing it by the total number of units to get <br /> square Feet per unit. <br /> <br />Public Input <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, scco~,dcd by Commissioner Jeffrey to close the public hearing at <br />9:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
