Parks/Utilities S up¢,rvisor Riverblood discussed the history of the area with the Commission. <br /> <br />Chahperson Johns asked who own.~d the property to the west. Mr. Schaeffer stated Mr. Erik <br />Thompson owned the land. C_haiq0crso~ Johns asked if he expressed any interest when the letters <br />were sent. Parks/Utilities Supervise,' l~5verblood stated Mr. Thompson was not interested. <br /> <br />The Commiss/oit discussed the layo:.tt of the area. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns s;tated their biggest accomplishment is to try to get from one side to the other. <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblocd stated it depended on time and how the area is developed <br />in the future. <br /> <br />Chairperson Joh ns asked if they COt~ ld cio an easement on part of the land or is the area wet or to <br />be farmed. Mi;. Schaeffer explained what was being done on the land at this time. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities'Sup('~rvisor Riverblood thought this is the best solution to' get past this issue. <br />Should a trail ever occur, that does r~ot preclude them from getting a park corridor in the area. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblo(~d explained another concern Mr. Schaeffer was concerned <br />with was by dedicating this to the public:, the existing home and another lot would be severed. <br /> <br />Mr. Schacffer stated he doe~; not like~, giving up any of his land but he thought this was the best <br />way to go. <br /> <br />Mr. Schaeffer askerl where else are they getting $1,100.00 per acre. Parks/Utilities Supervisor <br />Riverblood exptaincd the City code ~'egarding this. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrun.~, seconded by Commissioner Lehman to accept Park <br />Dedication of land and money of $~ ,034.00 as outlined on attached section of the development <br />agreement and Trail Dedication of $550.00. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Clmirperson Johns, Commissioners Ostrum, Lehman, Olds, <br />Ostrum, and Pontius. Voting No: None. Absent: LaMere, Shryock. <br /> <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Status of Master Pilan mapping elcmeat <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblo(~d stated staff has gone through the Master Plan mapping <br />element to make sure they are more readable and less linear. He showed a map of the Trail Plan <br />and noted he made 1:he initial correc1 i. ons and gave them LHB. He stated he was in the process <br />of providing thc final corrections.
