(1) Each public access point ;r,d other nreas commonly used by the public for access to <br />the lake shall be posted with consplcuoue signs stating that an aeration system is in use and <br />that the marked area of the 1eke sh)uld be avoided, <br /> The perimeter of the are~ of thin ice and open water shall be marked with signs <br />placed at a height of from four to six feet in a rectangular pattern at each corner of the <br />open water, with at l~ast two ad~itl, onal signs between the corner signs on any side exceeding <br />100 feet in length. ?~e signs shall be diamond shaped and at leas~ 18 inches in height and 14 <br />inches wide w~th a two inch wide orange border with black lettering on a white background <br />with the warning "Thi~ Ice". or "Open Water." <br /> (2) A Liability Insurance Pollcy with $500,000 Combined Single Limit (Minimum) coverage <br />(or equivalent amount in self inst. rance or bond) must be in effect while the system is in <br />operation during periods of ice ~ow~r. Should the policy be cancelled before a scheduled <br />expiration date, the Commissiouer ~hall be notified at least ten days before such cancella- <br />tion. <br /> (3) The permi'i:tee shall give advance public notice of ~he commencement of operation of <br />the aeration system during periods of ~ce cover by publishing the location and date of <br />commencement of operation of the :~yatem in a newspaper of general circulation in the area <br />where the system is to be operat~d~ at least two times between five and 20 days prior to <br />commencement of operation. <br /> (4) The system and operating ~;che. dule are substantially as described herein, <br /> (5) Special provisions: <br /> <br /> A permit is perm~!ssive ouly a~d uo liability shall be incurred by the State of Minnesota <br />or by any of its off~icers, agents~ o~~ employees by reason of the issuance of it or by reason <br />of any acts or operallons of the p~-mittee.
