PROLONG THE LIFE OF YOUR LAKE As man's activities bring more and more nutr ent.'~ into ponds and lakes, the natural production of oxTgen and nature's cleansing action have not been able t(~ keep up with the increase. Although ~dded nutrients h-~ve sped up the decay of ponds aud t;~kes, the use of i,:)rc~:d air aeration has proved effective in prolonging their n~tural life cycles. By supplying your water with greater arnounts,,f oxygen the Fish Air system is able to '.:low dowu the nat~lral dying process. If the bacteria breaking down the organic matter use [oo much of the water's oxygen then there won't be enou(.h oxygen for fish life. The Fish Air provides adequate o,'.ygen for both the increase in decomposition and for fish life. USE NATURE'S CLEANSING ACTION The Fish Air system takes advantage of nat~rc-'.'~ own beneficial cleansing process. The only difterer~ce is that the natural action is acceleraied. The system is based on the principle of multiple inw'rsion, thc compl(te rolling over of a body of water. Inver,~;ion is the m~tural ;leansing action of a pond or lake. Toxic harms are blown away as they reach the top. PREVENT FISH KILLS The Fish Air prevents winter-kill. When sunlight is blocked by a covering of snow on the ice, water plants die. The bacteria that decompose the plant matter take the oxygen out of the water and kill the fish. The Fish Air also prevents summer-kill. During the summer planktonic algae go into what is called a bloom stage which must be supported by a great deal of sunlight. If there is not enough sunlight during this stage the algae will die creating the same situation that occurs with winter-kill. IMPROVES WATER CLARITY Often water is murky or discolored by suspended parti-. cles or organic matter. By increasing the amount of oxy- gen in water, the bacteria will break down the particles dropping them to the bottom, thus improving your waters clarity and appearance. HELPS REDUCE WEEDS & ALGAE By providing oxygen to bottom waters, a more complete break down of dying vegetation occurs. The nutrients released by this process are then utilized by living organisms that provide an excellent food source for fish. This means less nutrients available for new weed and algae growths. KEEPS ICE OPEN The Fish Air will keep a 10' to 50' diameter area open even in sub zero weather, that can be used by waterfowl during the winter. Once the ice cover thickens, there is strong ice right up to the edge of the open area.
