Councilmembe. r <br />moved for its adoption~ <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and <br />timely expenditure of (~mmunity Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />funds fr(~n the U.S~ Department of Housing and Urban Development; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, the City o]~ Ramsey receives an annual allocation of <br />CDBG funds from Anoka Ck)~nty; a~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka Couaty has requested communities receiving <br />allocations of CDBG ftm~ to submit preliminary applications for <br />expending these funds fo~ Fiscal. Year 1987; and <br /> <br /> ~~, eligible a(~tivities for CDBG funds include economic <br />development activities a~d planning activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEItEAS, the City of Ramsey has an Economic Development <br />Commission and local development company, the Ramsey Economic <br />Develounent Company, comnitted to economic development in and for <br />Ramsey; ~nd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in 1986 t~e Ramsey City Council authorized the <br />Ramsey Econ¢~nic Develol~nent Company to establish a revolving loan <br />fund for ec~)nomic develof?.~e~nt using CDBG funds. <br /> <br />NO~ ~ERB~O[iE, BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANCEA (DUNTY~ STA~'~E OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City of Ramsey apply to Anoka County for <br />Ccmmumity Development Block Grant funds to be used for economic <br />develolmmnt activities su~ as the revolving loan fund. <br /> <br /> 2.
