The C~on conducted public <br />hearings on proposed rezonings for the majority of the City. One of the <br />changes was to change the UER, Urban Existing Residential and UR-Urban <br />Residential Districts to Urban and Rural Residential Districts, depending on <br />whether the p~operty was ins]de of the 1990 Urban Area boundary. <br /> <br />Based on a request from Mr~ Sidney Schaumburg, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission reviewed the ex:tsting zoning of a 13 acre parcel owned by Mr. <br />Scha~burg located off of Sur~fish Lake Drive N~. The present zoning of this <br />property is R-1R Rural Besidential and requires ~ lot sizes of 2.5 acres. <br />Mr. Schaumburg also owns ~u~ adjacent 80 acres which is zoned R-1U Urban <br />Residential and requires one. acre lots.
