10 ~inutes ME ~19: APPOINT~NT TO COMMISSIONS AND COMMITT~S By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator Background: Over the past raonths, the City of Ramsey has solicited appllcants for a Fire Safety Committee, a Liquor Licensing Committee, and a Landfill/Solid Waste Commission. l~e following is .~-~ list of the individuals who have expressed an interest in serving on the~e c~mmittees and commission: FIRE SAFETY LIQUOR LICENSING LANDFILL/SOLID 1) Harold Barl:holow Richard Swanson 2) Gary Dirks Moward Triggs 3) Roger Mechels Jack Ippel 4) Dale McKnight Bruce Bacon 5) David Bawden Steven Bluhm 6) Willard Breu George Post 7) Steven Sue~s Kathi Peterson 8) William Rustad Terry Miller 9) James Konen, Jr. 10) Eric Radke 11) Thomas Kurak Recommendation: Appropriate action by the tit7 Council will be to establish the number of participants for ~aach of the c(~mmittees or commission and to make appointments. Council Action: Motion to: Establish an Ad Hoc Fire l;afety Committee for the purpose of evaluating the fire safety needs of the City of Ramsey and developing plans which may include, but not be limited to, the establishment of a volunteer fire department and policies a~-. they relate to fire safety.
