Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduc~-d the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~87-. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING SAFETY ~:TUDY OF 167TH AVENUE NW (HUNICIPAL STATE AID <br />RICHWAY) FROM COUNTY ROAD ~5 10 STATE HIGH~AY ~47 INCLUDING THE INTERSECTION OF <br />STATE HIGHLY ~47 AI~ 167Tti A¥~UE ~W <br /> <br /> ~rHEREA~I, 167th Avenua NW from County Road #5 to State Highway <br />lies entirely wit:hin the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHERF~q, the growth of the City of Ramsey, particularly the area of <br />167th Avenue NW, has resulted in greater usage of 167th Avenue NW since safety <br />standards were last reviewed ia March of 1983; and <br /> <br /> WHERF~Ii;, it ia the :~-esponsibility of the City Council of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota to proi:ect the health~ safety, and welfare of its residents. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 8Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, AROKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, af follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City of P. amsey hereby requests a review of the safety <br />characteristics of Municipal State Aid Road 167th Avenue NW from the <br />intersection of County Road ~5 to State Highway #47 including the intersection <br />of Highway #47 and 167th Avenue NW. Said review should consider all aspects of <br />safety as it relates to Municipa]. State Aid Highways including speed, lighting, <br />crosswalks, signalization, turn Janes, etc. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of t:he foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon ~ota being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against i:he same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said rasolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 28th da~ of April, 1987. <br /> <br /> <br />
