Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION #87- RESOLUTION O~DERINC A RI~HT.~OF-WAY ACQUISITION PLAN FOR THE PROPOSED RF,~LICNHENT OF STATE HICHWAY #o. 7 WHEREA~, it is the desire of the City of Ramsey to improve the transportation systems serving this community and other communities in this region; and WHEREA~, the propo~ed realignment of State Highway ~47 through Dysprosium Street NW and conne,~ting with the City of Anoka's Thurston Avenue would result in a significant ~mprovement in the transportation system for this region; and WHEREA:~, it is th~ intent of the City of Ramsey to acquire appropriate right-of-way for s~.~ch a realignment of State Highway ~47. NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED I~Y 'f~tE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAHSEY, ANOKA COUNTY. STATE OF MINNESOTA, as fo~tlow~: 1) That the City En~:ineer, Hr. Peter Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates, In.c., is hereby authorized to prepare a right-of-way acquisition plan for the propose realignmer~t of State Highway #47 through Dysprosium Street NW in Ramsey in connecting wit~ Thurston Avenue in the City of Anoka. 2) Fur'cher, that. th~ City of Ramsey urges the cooperation of the City of Anoka in acquiring the appropriate road right-of-way through the City of Anoka to provide for the re~li2rtment of State Highway.~47. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon wte being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted agains~ t:he same: and the following abstai~ed: and the following were absent: whereupon said re~olution was d.aciared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day o~ April, 1987.
