10 Minutes CASE <br /> <br />REQUEST t'OR RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR FUTURE <br />RUM RIVER BRIDGE (COUNTY ROAD ~116) <br />By: Dave ~artley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The County of Anoka continues to prepare for the construction of the Rum River <br />Bridge connecting County Road #116 in Ramsey and Andover. Currently, the <br />County is pursuing bonding with the Legislature in order to secure funding. <br />Earlier, the Count:y completed an environmental impact statement on the project <br />which will expire soon, and a subr~equent amendment to the environmental impact <br />statement will be required unl:~,ss work commences on this project soon. In <br />order to stop the clock, so to speak, on the environmental impact statement, <br />the County needs t'.o acquire right:--.of-way and complete some site improvements. <br />Therefore, County Engineer Pau( Ruud is requesting that the City of Ramsey <br />prepare an easeme~t deed dedicatit,.g the right-of-way to the County of Anoka. <br /> <br />Enclosed is a lett:er dated April ]6, 1987 from Anoka County Engineer Paul Ruud. <br />The proposed ordil.tance will be available at the meeting. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is our recommendation that t~e City Council introduce the ordinance which <br />would convey the right-of-way easement to the County of Anoka. <br /> <br />Council A~; t i~,~: <br /> <br />Motion to ~ <br />Introduce Ordinance #87-~_ authorizing the conveyance of right-of-way <br />easement Pla~: #32, Parcel ~1 to Anoka County for road right-of-way uses. <br /> <br />Review Checklil~t: <br /> <br />Administrator ~_~ <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
