5 Minutes CASE #?: <br /> <br />ROAD IMPROVEMENTS FOR 149TH AVENUE NW BETWEEN <br />PERIDOT STREET NW AND URANIMITE STREET NW <br /> By: Pete Raatikka, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Last fall the City's Street Department rebuilt a section of 149th Avenue NW <br />between Peridot Street NW and Uranimite Street NW to prevent it from flooding. <br />Class 5 gravel was also installed by the City's Street Department but the <br />paving was left for completion during the 1987 construction season. <br /> <br />I have requested and received two price quotes from the paving contractors <br />which are currently doing work for the City. The quotes are as follows: <br /> <br />a) Ideal Paving - $3,975.00 <br />b) H & S Asphalt - $4,400.00 <br /> <br />Enclosed are the proposals and a draft of the proposed resolution for your <br />adoption. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Both contractors are capable of completing the paving.
