SPECIFIC OBJ~CTIVE_S <br />FOR <br />1987 ANOKA COUNTY <br />CDi3G PROGRAM <br /> <br />The following obiectives have been established for assisting communities and <br />citizen groups in the formulation of specific programoctivities. The objectives <br />listed below are in brief form. A more complete development of program <br />policy and rationale may be found by contacting the above mentioned source. <br /> <br />Support decent, Safe housing for residents in Anoka County through: (I) <br />rehabilitation of existing structures] (2) eligible assistance for <br />construction of new lower income housing. <br /> <br />Assist program efforts to redevelop blighted areas through: acquisition <br />and clearance, upgrading public facilities and utilities, encouraging new <br />development, seeking local financial commitment to the effort. <br /> <br />Develop and upgrade public facilities and utilities which serve primarily <br />lower income persons or which ore an integral part of redevelopment <br />efforts in blighted areas. <br /> <br />Promote and support economic development in Anoka County to provide <br />new jobs. <br /> <br />5. Promole the removal of architectural barriers. <br /> <br />Provide funding for public service activities which serve primarily lower <br />]ncome persons. <br /> <br />The above objectives were developed in cooperation with the communities in <br />Anoka County and are based on need os illustrated by statistics drawn from the <br />1980 census data and comments from community residents. Overall, they are a <br />continuation of the 1981-1986 CDBG programs, with many communities <br />sustaining efforts begun in those years. <br /> <br />Publish Anoko County Union, ~,/24/87. <br /> <br /> <br />
