Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution amd moved <br />for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~87-84 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING SAFETY STUDY OF 167TH AVENUE N.W. <br />(Municipal State Aid Highway) FROM COUNTY ROAD ~5 TO STATE <br />HIGHWAY ~47 INCLUDING THE INTERSECTION OF STATE HIGHWAY #47 AND <br />167T~ AVENUE N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 167th Avenue N.W. from County Road ~5 to ~tate <br />Highway #47 lies entirely within the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the growth of the City of Ramsey, particularly <br />the area of 167th Avenue N.W. has resulted in greater useage of <br />167th Avenue N.W. since safety standards were last reviewed in <br />March, 1983; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the ity Council of <br />Ramsey, Minnesota to protect the h~alth, safety and welfare of <br />its residents. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby requests a review of <br />the safety characteristics of Municipa~ State Aid Road 167th <br />Avenue N.W. from the intersection of County Road ~5 to State <br />Highway #47 including the intersection of Highway ~47 and 167th <br />Avenue N.W. Said review should consider all aspects of safety as <br />it relates to Municipal Aid Highways including speed, lighting, <br />crosswalks, signalization, turn lanes, etc. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoiong resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann <br />Councilmember Cox <br />Councilmember DeLuca <br />Councilmen~ber Pearson <br />Councilmember Sorteberg <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution ~87-84 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
