Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-06-121 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-36 BUSINESS PARK 95 REGIONAL STORMWATER POND IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 11th, 2016, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to the proposed Business Park 95 Regional Stormwater Pond Improvements; and WHEREAS, on February 16th, 2016, the Ramsey Public Works Committee reviewed the draft Feasibility Report and recommended City Council approval of the Report; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 23rd, 2016, the Feasibility Report was accepted and the City Engineer was ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted May 24th, 2016, final plans and specifications were approved and advertisements for bids were authorized for said improvements; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on June 21st, 2016, and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID New Look Contracting, Inc. $165,480.50 Matt Bullock Contracting Company, Inc. $168,869.90 Veit & Company, Inc. $174,041.17 Dryden Excavating, Inc. $190,746.80* Ramsey Excavating Co. $228,027.70 All Metro Excavating Inc. $226,158.50* Engineer 's Estimate $181, 777.05 * Bid amount adjusted based on unit prices submitted. WHEREAS, the bid of New Look Contracting, Inc. of Rogers, Minnesota, in the amount of $165,480.50 for the total bid for construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted.
