However, development on greenfie|da often has higher long-term public <br />costs because it requires extending regional infrastructure to new areas. <br />In contrast, infiU development and redevelopment require |eSS new regional infrastructure <br />but can be more challenging for developers, both inthe direct costs ofdemolition <br />and pollution rernedia1ion and in the increased complexity ofintegrating projects into <br />existing neighborhoods.
