Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-07-129 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ABATEMENT OF PID #20-32-25-31-0002 FOR PAYABLE YEARS 2012-2016 AND LEVYING THE CORRECT PID NUMBER OF 20-32-25- 34-0004 FOR PAYABLE YEARS 2012-2016 WHEREAS, in November 2011-2015, the City levied special assessments to the County for collection with the 2012-2016 property taxes; and WHEREAS, during the certification of the assessments to the County, an incorrect PID number was given: and WHEREAS, PID #20-32-25-31-0002 for taxes payable years of 2012-2016 needs to be abated and the correct PID number of 20-32-25-34-0004 in the same amounts as those abated for taxes payable years 2012-2016 need to be added; and WHEREAS, the County requires an application for abatement to be submitted and a resolution passed before an error can be corrected or abated and the correct PID numbers charged. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the abatement of PID #20-32-25-31-0002 in the respective amounts of: $73,404.58, $71,815, $71,415, $102,609, $77,169 for taxes payable 2012-2016 that was levied in error and levy the correct PID number of 20-32-25-34-0004 - $73,404.58, $71,815, $71,415, $102,609 and $77,169 respectively for taxes payable years 2012-2016. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this 12th day of July, 2016.
