Community Development Director Gladhill stated that this information will help the City on the <br />decisions of whether or not to support applicants in their request for outside financing. He stated <br />that in order to reach the density thresholds identified by the Metropolitan Council a majority of <br />that density is proposed for The COR. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that multi -family housing (apartments) does not equate to <br />affordable housing units as the City has apartment developments that have higher rent points. He <br />commended Community Development Director Gladhill for his efforts in providing excellent <br />customer service in his department through the newly implemented efforts. <br />7.09: Consider Letter of Support for Habitat for Humanity for Minnesota Housing <br />Finance Agency Application <br />Community Development Director Gladhill presented the staff report and recommendation to <br />approve the Letter of Support for Habitat for Humanity for the Minnesota Housing Finance <br />Agency application. <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to approve the Letter of <br />Support for Habitat for Humanity for the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency application. <br />Further discussion: Mayor Strommen asked to use a consistent term for Twin Cities Habitat for <br />Humanity throughout the letter. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, Johns, Riley, <br />Shryock, and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember LeTourneau. <br />7.10: 2016 Ramsey Citizen Survey Results <br />Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama reviewed the staff report <br />noting that the results of the 2016 Ramsey citizen survey have been returned. He noted that the <br />City Council reviewed the results in more detail at the work session earlier tonight and advised <br />that the item will come back for a more thorough review at a meeting in July. <br />7.11: Consider Adopting Resolution #16-06-122 to Update the Policy for the Recruitment, <br />Application, and Interview Process for City Board and Commission Members <br />City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report and recommendation to adopt Resolution <br />#16-06-122 to update the Policy for Recruitment, Application and Interview Process for City <br />Board and Commission Members as per the draft policy. <br />Councilmember Shryock stated that she appreciates this update of the policy and makes it a little <br />easier for those that enjoy serving on Boards and Commissions to continue to do so and also <br />improves the interview process completed by the Council. <br />City Council / June 28, 2016 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />
