Community Development Director Gladhill stated that this information will help the City on the decisions of whether or not to support applicants in their request for outside financing. He stated that in order to reach the density thresholds identified by the Metropolitan Council a majority of that density is proposed for The COR. City Administrator Ulrich stated that multi -family housing (apartments) does not equate to affordable housing units as the City has apartment developments that have higher rent points. He commended Community Development Director Gladhill for his efforts in providing excellent customer service in his department through the newly implemented efforts. 7.09: Consider Letter of Support for Habitat for Humanity for Minnesota Housing Finance Agency Application Community Development Director Gladhill presented the staff report and recommendation to approve the Letter of Support for Habitat for Humanity for the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency application. Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to approve the Letter of Support for Habitat for Humanity for the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency application. Further discussion: Mayor Strommen asked to use a consistent term for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity throughout the letter. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, Johns, Riley, Shryock, and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember LeTourneau. 7.10: 2016 Ramsey Citizen Survey Results Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama reviewed the staff report noting that the results of the 2016 Ramsey citizen survey have been returned. He noted that the City Council reviewed the results in more detail at the work session earlier tonight and advised that the item will come back for a more thorough review at a meeting in July. 7.11: Consider Adopting Resolution #16-06-122 to Update the Policy for the Recruitment, Application, and Interview Process for City Board and Commission Members City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report and recommendation to adopt Resolution #16-06-122 to update the Policy for Recruitment, Application and Interview Process for City Board and Commission Members as per the draft policy. Councilmember Shryock stated that she appreciates this update of the policy and makes it a little easier for those that enjoy serving on Boards and Commissions to continue to do so and also improves the interview process completed by the Council.
