p &z-1- <br />4/7/80 <br /> <br />PLANNING & ZONING CO~4ISSION <br /> <br /> City of Ramsey <br />Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey Planning & Zoning Commission was held <br />on April 7, 1980, at the Ramsey ~unicipal Center,15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Rmnsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Chainnan Ken Peterson called the meeting to order with the following in <br />attendance: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson, Chairman <br />Ben Deemer <br />Ron West <br /> <br />Kathy Schneider <br />Gerry Zimme rman <br />Art Dunn <br /> <br />Also present: <br />Clayton Berg, Bldg. Official <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />March 3, 1980, Public Hearing re: Diane Schaefbauer. Motion by Ben Deemer, <br />seconded by Ken Peterson to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried <br />2-0. Schneider, West, Dunn, Zimmerman abstained. <br /> <br />March 3, 1980, Public Hearing re:Thomas Johnstone. Motion by Ben Deemer, <br />seconded by Kathy Schneider to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried <br />3-0. West, Dunn, Zimmerman abstained. <br /> <br />March 3, 1980, Regular Meeting - Motion by Kathy Schneider, seconded by <br />Ken Peterson to approve the minutes with the correction to the last <br />paragraph of item #3 regarding Vern Weaver: Mr. Deemer added the following <br />co,~nent to the above matter: Suggested that the Council might take the <br />easement of parcels A & C only at this time.' Motion carrie--~-0. <br />Zimmerman, Dunn, West abstained. <br /> <br />March 18, 1980, Workshop Meeting. Motion by Gerry Zimmerman, seconded by <br />Ron West to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried 5-0. Dunn abstained. <br /> <br />April 1, 1980 Workshop Meeting, Motion by Ben Deemer, seconded by Ken <br />Peterson to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried 4-0. West & <br />Dunn abstained. <br /> <br />Request for Rezoning - Dr. Brunnell <br />Dr. Brunnell was present to explain that he wished to rezone the parcel of <br />1. and adjacent to his pet hospital to enable him to build a 3-5 business (retail) <br />commercial business. Possible use would be a pet shop, bookstore ect. <br />Dr. Brunnell stated that he had talked with the Hwy Dept. last fall regarding <br />access and explained that they had no objections alongb]~e used the existing <br />access from the pet hospital. Dr. Brtmnell stated that it was his intentions <br />to enlarge his present access. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson explained that the Commission had already instructed <br />Mr. Dexter to show the zoning along hwy 10 from CO. Rd #56 West(Land between <br />IIwy & R.R. tracks) as B-1. <br /> <br />Discussion of a service drive resulted in Dr. Brunnell stating that he would <br />not mind giving a 50 foot easement along the rear of his present property <br />along with the piece he wants rezoned. <br /> <br /> P & Z Regular Meeting - page 1 4/7/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
