John Hubbard noted the safety hazard that is involved. For example, <br />the mining operation that is being condmcted at the present time is creating <br />a very dangerous situation should a snowmobile unknowingly go over in that area. <br />There is no fencing of the operation and someone could be seriously injured or <br />worse. <br /> <br />Mr. Deemer made a motion and Mr. Peterson seconded to recommend that the <br />city Council adopt Chapter 70 of the Uniform Building Code of the State of <br />Minnesota into the City of Ramsey's Code excluding paragraphs 6 and 8 of <br />Section 7003. <br /> <br />Motion carried. 6 Ayes <br /> <br />JOHN HUBBARD'S RESIGNATION <br /> <br />The Commission expressed their sincere regret to John upon receipt of his <br />resignation. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson thanked him ~r what he contributed to the P & Z Commission <br />in the short amount of time he has been with them, for the time and effort <br />he put forth, and that he is sorry to lose someone with his talents and background. <br /> <br />Mr. Hubbard stated that he would stay on as long as he could until a replacement <br />could be found. <br /> <br />ELECTION OF OFFICER FOR 1980 <br /> <br />Motion by Ben Deemer and seconded by Kathleen Schneider to leave the officer <br />the same as is with Ken Peterson as Chairperson and Gerald Zimmerman as <br />Vice Chairperson. <br /> <br />Motion carried. 5 Ayes, Peterson abstained. <br />The Commissioners reviewed Mr. Marston's billing.
