Wetland relocation within a development or watershed unit may be <br />considered if the wetland to be relocated is less than 2-1/2 acres and <br />if it is re-established as a comparable type of wetland. In making <br />this decision, the WMO and municipalities will generally consider <br />storage volume, water quality, aesthetics, and wildlife habitat. <br /> <br />Groundwater <br /> <br />The WMO encourages sound, contemporary land use development that <br />incorporates grassed open spaces to allow infiltration of precipitation <br />in all land use categories. <br /> <br />2. The WMO encourages the use of facilities to enhance groundwater <br /> infiltration whenever possible and practical. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Land use and development within the watershed should not knowingly <br />endanger groundwater quality or impair groundwater recharge. <br /> <br />Recreation, Open Space, and Wildlife <br /> <br />The WMO will seek to apply a multi-use management approach to the water <br />resources of the watershed, considering the benefits and effects of all <br />activities not only on water resources, but also on recreation, open <br />space, and wildlife. <br /> <br />2.
