With the exception of lighting for the hockey rinks, all <br />other individual tasks which the City is responsible for should be <br />less than $15,000. Thus, a formal bid procedure can be waived in <br />the interest of time. You'll notice that it is a particularly <br />tight schedule dependent on our weather this fall. Under this <br />schedule, the warming house should be operational by the first week <br />of December. <br /> <br />We want to point out several items: <br /> <br />The City will be responsible for removing posts and cables where <br />necessary the week of September 8. <br /> <br />WMMI indicated that they could have the trees moved at about $80.00 <br />each by tying on to their contract. I've received a quote for the <br />same piece by another contractor. <br /> <br />WMMI also indicated that they "may be able to work something out <br />with a seeder" for establishing turf cover. This may simply be <br />use of the seeder by the City. Would the City be interested in <br />this rather than contracting out? <br /> <br />WMMI will need a police escort to move their equipment to Central <br />park on the morning of September 12 and again to move back to the <br />landfill (September 137).
