Counci lmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION ~87-~ RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF FEE TITLE TO CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR WATER TOWER PURPOSES WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to construct a water storage facility (water tower) which project will be constructed generally on part of the following described property: The Northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 25, Township 32, Range 25 lying southwesterly of County State Aid Highway #5, Anoka County Minnesota. and WHEREAS, the improvement consists of a water tower and associated facilities in order to provide for the health, welfare and safety of the residents of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the property owner from whom the fee title to the required property has been identified by the City as follows, to wit: P. Owner 25-32-25-31-0002 Kenneth Law Proper tyy Size / ~g and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer, Mr. Peter R. Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. to proceed to acquire the fee title to said land mn accordance with Minnesota Statutes and the City Charter. 2) That if the land as described above cannot be acquzred by direct negotiatzon it shall be acquired by eminent domain and the City Council hereby requests the City Attorney to file the necessary petition therefore, and to prosecute such action to a successful conciusmon or until it is abandoned, dismissed or terminated by the City or Court.
