Count ilmember <br />moved for it's adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the followir~g resolution ~r,d <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~87-__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING THE CLEAN IN-DOOR AIR PRACTICES FOR THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 144.414 prohibits smoking at public <br />meetings or in a public place except in designated smoking areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, adequate ventilation exists in the foyer area of the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the responsibility Of the City Council as the <br />governing body to enforce laws of Minnesota. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />A_NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, that: <br /> <br /> 1) No smoking shall be permitted in the Ramsey Municipal Center <br />except in designated smoking areas. <br /> <br /> 2) The foyer on the main floor of the Ramsey Municipal Center is <br />hereby designated as a smoking permitted area, except at times when the <br />foyer is being used as a public meeting room. <br /> <br /> 3) The City Administrator is directed to install all proper <br />signs and advise all known users of the Ramsey Municipal Center of this <br />policy. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and ~ .... follow~-~...~ were ab~_nt:_= <br /> <br />Resolution ~'.~ gT- <br /> <br />Page 1 cf 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
