5 Minutes CASE ~ll: <br /> <br />REPORT ON DAYTON PORT RAILROAD CROSSING <br /> By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />For some time the City of Ramsey, the developers in Northfork, representatives <br />from the Burlington Northern R~ilroad, and representatives from the Hinnesota <br />Department of Transportation have been negotiating to establish a public <br />crossing at the location known as the Dayton Port. Recently, the developers of <br />the Northfork Planned Unit Development were able to establish insurance and <br />funds for constructing a private crossing at the location of the Dayton Port. <br />It is estimated that during the week of the Coumcil meeting that crossing may <br />be established and that the truck traffic which is currently traveling 153rd <br />Avenue will be able to enter U. S. Highway ~10 at the Dayton Port. <br /> <br />The schedules for a hearing to establish that railroad crossing as a public <br />crossing have been postponed until mid-January.
