TO TUNGSTEN STREET
By: Pete Kaatikka, City Engineer

Background:

On October 27, 1987 the City Council adopted a resolution receiving a
feasibility report for extending sewer and water in Front Street N.W. from
Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W. to Tungsten Street N.W. A bearing was not scheduled
because the proposed alignment was to continue from the sewer and water to be
installed on the Elofson property south of T. H. No. 10. To date, the easement
for the utilities has not been acquired. Therefore, the feasibility report may
have to be revised to follow a different alignment.

Enclosed for your information is an exhibit from the feasibility report showing
the proposed alignment.

Recommendation:

Council action will depend on the outcome of easement negotiations with the
Elofsons, Hamiltons, and Holaseks.

If easements are acquired, a public hearing should be scheduled.
alternate alignment is selected, the feasibility should be revised.

If an

Review Checklist:

Administrator
Attorney
Engineer
Community Development Director

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Public Works Superintendent
Other
