PERTAINS TO CASE ~5 <br /> <br />December 1, 1987 <br /> <br />TO: Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> <br />FROM: Bill Goodrich, City Attorney <br /> Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br /> <br />RE: Amendments to Section 110.07 <br /> <br />Listed below are the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommended <br />amendments to Section 110.07 of the City Code regarding horses. <br /> <br />110.072 ACREAGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />1. The following chart prescribes the number of horses that can be <br /> maintained on lot sizes as shown: <br /> <br />Maximum Number of Horses <br /> <br />Acreage Minimum <br /> <br />1 or 2 <br />3 or 4 <br />5 and more <br /> <br />2.5 <br />2.6 <br />5 acres and larger <br />of which at least <br />2.5 acres consists <br />of pasture <br /> <br />110.073 RODENT AND INSECT CONTROL <br /> <br />Manure shall be handled or treated in such a manner so as not to <br />create a public nuisance which shall mean at a minimum that manure <br />will be properly disposed of weekly when the number of horses on <br />any one parcel exceeds one horse per 1/2 acre of pasture. <br /> <br />As both amendments refer to a 'pasture' area, a definition of pasture <br />should be included in Section 110.07. <br /> <br /> <br />
