CASE #4: <br /> <br />CONSIDER AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 110 OF THE CITY CODE REGARDING <br /> REGULATIONS FOR KEEPING HORSES <br /> By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you may recall, earlier this year the Commission considered a request <br />for a conditional use permit to keep a horse on a parcel approximately one <br />acre in size which the City Council ultimately denied. <br /> <br />At present, Chapter 110 of the City Code requires three acres of land for <br />each horse maintained. Several Commissioners have reviewed this section of <br />the City Code and have suggested that this acreage requirement be <br />decreased. <br /> <br />For your information, the following items are enclosed: <br /> <br /> a) Existing Chapter 110 of the City Code regarding horses. <br /> b) Proposed Chapter 110 of the City Code regarding horses. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br /> Commission Action: <br /> <br /> Will be based on your discussion. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
