CASE #7: <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR SITE PI~ REVIEW; CASE OF MR. WILLIAM DUBATS By; Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Dubats is requesting site plan review for his proposed self-service <br />storage structures at 13820 Ebony Street N.W. The structures will be <br />constructed of decorative face concrete block; the doors of the storage <br />units will be of prefinished steel panels which will match the concrete <br />block. Mr. Dubats is proposing to blacktop all parking and driveway <br />areas. <br /> <br />For your information, enclosed are the following items: <br /> <br />a) Application and attachments <br />b) Site location map <br />c) Letter dated October 30, 1987 from Joe Sentyrz <br />d) Comments from City Engineer dated November 3, 1987 <br />e) Section 170.016F of the City Code <br />f) Section 170.017L of the City Code <br />g) Proposed development permit <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As you may recall, on November 3, the Commission recommended approval of <br />Mr. Dubats' request for a conditional use permit to construct and operate a <br />self-service storage facility. However, the Commission tabled action on <br />Mr. Dubats' request for site plan review pending the following: <br /> <br />a) Comments from the City Engineer regarding access to the lot; <br />b) Comments from the City Engineer, Anoka County and MN DOT regarding <br /> the future of Feldspar Street; <br />c) Resolution of yards and appropriate setbacks; <br />d) Comments from the Building Official regarding use of a floating <br /> slab; and <br />e) Review of plans with respect to Architectural Standards specified <br /> in Section 170.016F of the City Code. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend approval/denial of Mr. Dubats' request for site plan review. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br /> Chief of Police <br /> Finance Officer <br />X Public Works Superintendent <br />X Building Official X <br /> <br /> <br />
