(6) Under 170.017 M(8~k paae

(7)

(8)

(9)

As a gravel producer unlike other grading contrac-
tors, we are required to pay in~.e the county a haul
road maintenance and restoration tax of 7¢ per ton
of material removed. Any additional costs is unfair
to the gravel operator.

170.071 M(10) (See also typo, this should be 170.017

M(10)). Designation of Haul Roads and Maintenance.

This entire section should be carefully reviewed due
to comment on #6 above and also because the dump
brings in relatively heavy trucks which can do
substantially more damage than any gravel trucks;
this of course only applies to certain routes.

170.017 M(ll)a.

Twelve percent final grade could be more reasonable
at 25%. Twenty five percent (25%) is a very easy
and controllable grade.

170.017 M(il)c.

The 6" topsoil minimum should only be required where
the original land had 6" or more topsoil before
excavation began. If ~h~ operator had not sold any
toosoil and had only 2 to 3 inches of topsoil, he
should not be required to haul in more than what was
originally on the property.
