ORDINANCE NO. 87- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA Amendment to Chapter 170.01 of the Ramsey City Code, which Chapter is known as the "Ramsey Zoning Chapter." An Ordinance amending Chapter 170.01 by the addition of Section 170.017M which Section shall be entitled "Grading, Mining and Filling Permits." The City of Ramsey Ordains: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT 170.017M(1) Purpose: The purpose of this section is to safeguard life, limb, property and the public welfare by controlling grading, mining, and filling operations so as to minimize conflicts with adjacent land uses, to preserve good soils and to regulate the type of materials used in filling operations, and to ensure that disturbed areas are restored upon completion of the operation. 170.017M(2) Scope: This section sets forth rules and regulations to control grading, mining, excavation, and earthwork construction including fills and embankments, establish the administrative procedure for issuance of permits, and provides for approval of plans and insoection of grading construction. 170.017M(3) Exceptions: This section shall not apply to: ?ne excavation, removal, or storage of rock, sand, dirt, ~rave!~ clay~ b~ ' dirt u~=' or other like ~a,eria! for the Duruose of couu!±ance with a ~radin~ plan approved as Dart Of a subdivision p!at: site plan, or u!anned unit development, if said plat, site plan or planned unit development does non require the e×portin~ of earth materia!~ or for the purpose of the yard~ foundation~ or basement of a bui!din~ in the process of bein~ erected, buii=, or placed thereon contemporaneously ~ith: or ±mmediate!y fo!!owin~, such excavation~ removal or storage. b. The excavation, removal, or storage of rock, sand,
