We had the privilege of taking the spotlight several times this <br /> year in local and statewide media. <br /> Newspapers CACHSreaches Each week we continue to print a column in theWSAnoka County UnionHerald, Quad Cities Press, <br /> and Citizen. These occur in addition to otherarticles printed by these newspapers promotingour events and programs,or celebrating the on to overloyalty of Vickie Wendel,who has devoted over Homes <br /> 25 years of her career to preserving the history <br /> of Anoka County! <br /> Television <br /> We maintained our presence on local cable network channels,bringing local history <br /> and news of our activities to a broader audience.Among a number of reports,CTN <br /> covered our Wedding Belles&Beaus exhibit and a historical look at going back to <br /> school,while QCTV produced their bi-monthly episodes of It's Your History.We also <br /> made an appearance on a segment with Comcast Newsmakers which highlighted the <br /> ghost tours and ACHS collections. <br /> 2015 It's Your History Episodes <br /> 0 The Anoka Asylum <br /> 0 The Fridley Tornado <br /> C55 Y4U�R r S TORY 0 Sustainable Farming <br /> — 0 Archeology in Anoka County <br /> 0 Watch these and new episodes <br /> throughout the year on YouTube <br /> TEDx Talk <br /> We debuted on the red carpet as a speaker <br /> s Rebecca at the TEDx event in Fridley this year. <br /> ,,,e The internationally known TED <br /> organization believes"passionately in the <br /> power of ideas to change attitudes,lives <br /> and,ultimately,the world."Our director, <br /> Rebecca,joined five other speakers on <br /> 61 stage in Fridley.Each spoke about their <br /> ideas on the theme"Belong."Before the <br /> sold-out crowd,Rebecca shared the"Power of Personal History,"urging people to <br /> think how best they can save their legacy and story for future generations.Her talk <br /> joins the catalog of other TED and TEDx talks and can be viewed online at the TED <br /> website or on YouTube. 12 <br />
