He stated the <br />tar is already there, and they would tear up the tar and put cement down to build the structure on <br />the same spot. He indicated they have a large boat, and wants to make sure it will fit. He does <br />not want stuff all over his yard. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Jeffi'ey to close the public hearing at <br />7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Board Members Johnson, Van Scoy and Commissioner Watson <br /> <br />Commission Input <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked if the findings are based on a 15 foot setback or 10 foot setback. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik indicated they are based on ten feet because that is <br />what the applicant proposed. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Brauer to adopt Resolution #04-05- <br />105 adopting Findings of Fact #0673 favorable to the applicant, relating to Stephen and Nila <br />Dchen's request for a variance to construct an accessory structure nearer the front property line <br />than the principal structure at 14720 Bowers Drive NW. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Brauer, Jeffrey, and Shepherd. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Johnson, Van Scoy and Commissioner Watson <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Brauer to approve Mr. and Mrs. <br />Dehen's request for a variance at 14720 Bowers Drive NW, based on the findings of fact, and <br />adopt Resolution #04-05-106 declaring terms of the variance, with condition #2 indicating 15 <br />feet. <br /> <br />Mi'. Dehen asked if the setback could be 14 feet, since trusses come in two foot sizes. Staff <br />agreed. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt agreed to change the condition of his motion to indicate 14 feet.
