8.3 provided in this section. The municipality has 15 days to issue a permit requested under <br /> 8.4 this section or to deny it, except that if the statutory or home rule charter city holds regular <br /> 8.5 meetings only once per calendar month the statutory or home rule charter city has 30 days <br /> 8.6 to issue a permit requested under this section or to deny it. If the municipality receives a <br /> 8.7 written request that does not contain all required information, the applicable 15-day or <br /> 8.8 30-day limit starts over only if the municipality sends written notice within five business <br /> 8.9 days of receipt of the request telling the requester what information is missing. The <br /> 8.10 municipality cannot extend the period of time to decide. <br /> 8.11 Subd. 9. Opt-out. A municipality may by ordinance opt-out of the requirements <br /> 8.12 of this section. <br /> 8.13 Sec. 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> 8.14 This act is effective September 1, 2016, and applies to temporary dwelling permit <br /> 8.15 applications made under this act on or after that date. <br />
