Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-07-134 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br /> FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-00 DIVISION B <br /> 2016 MILL AND OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Ramsey City Council on February <br /> Stn 2016, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed <br /> bituminous pavement mill and overlay improvements to Sunwood Drive from Sunfish Lake <br /> Boulevard to the bridge east of 147th Lane and west of Krypton Street as Division B of the 2016 <br /> Street Maintenance Program, including other appurtenant work as needed; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Ramsey City Council on March <br /> 22nd, 2016, the Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered <br /> for April 12th, 2016 at 7 p.m.; and <br /> WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br /> cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and in accordance with <br /> Chapter 8 of the City Charter, applicable City codes, and the City's Special Assessments Policy; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br /> improvements as required by law; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Ramsey City Council on April 12tH <br /> 2016, the City Council conducted a Public Hearing and considered the proposed improvements <br /> in accordance with the Feasibility Report and the City of Ramsey Engineering Department was <br /> authorized to prepare plans and specifications for the proposed improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted June 14th, 2016, the <br /> City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids for <br /> said improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on July 14th, 2016, and the <br /> following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br /> CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID <br /> Valley Paving, Inc. $179,196.21 <br /> North Valley, Inc. $184,367.71 <br /> Midwest Asphalt Corp. $186,772.60 <br /> Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $196,818.76 <br /> RESOLUTION #16-07-134 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
