CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Fire Code Inspector Jerry Streich <br />Builder Representative Dave Schulte <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVEAGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIl. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />lntroductiou of Ordinance (Special Fire Protection Systems) to Include Chapter <br />1306 to the Miuuesota Building Code <br /> <br />Public Works Director Kapler reviewed that on May 4th during a Council worksession the idea of <br />adopting Chapter 1306 into the Minnesota Building Code was discussed. Staff was given <br />direction to research several issues to bring back to City Council in a case format. <br /> <br />Counci hnember Kurak arrived at 6:06 p.m. <br /> <br />Fire Code Inspector Streich reviewed the impacts to residential structures three stories and over. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/May 25, 2004 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
