PLANNING AND ZONING COM/Z~ISSION <br />PUBLIC tlEAKING <br /> CITY OF FJ~MSEY <br /> ANOKA C 0U h~fY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, November 3, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Bill Dubats' request for a <br />conditional use permit to construct and operate a self-service storage <br />facility in the B-1 Business District. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen, Vice Chairman <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Hendriksen called the public hearing to order at 8:05 p.m. <br /> <br />~ITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Dubats stated that he has a self-service storage operation on Lot <br />2 of Riverside West and is proposing to expand that business onto Lot 1. <br />Based on city code requirements and not complaints, the new buildings would <br />be upgraded from what was developed on Lot 2. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Hamilton - Inquired as to how many buildings are proposed to be <br />built. <br /> <br />Mr. Dubats replied that the proposal is for 3 more buildings situated <br />parallel to the existing buildings. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris noted a letter received from Mr. Joseph Sentyrz dated October <br />30, 1987 indicating-no objection'to-construction of this· type of.facility <br />as long as the owners are required to build a building that at least meets <br />or exceeds the requirements followed by other commercial buildings in the <br />area. <br /> <br />The Commission noted receiving Mr. Joseph Sentyrz' letter dated October 30, <br />1987 regarding Mr. Dubats request for a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />P 6 Z/P~b!ic Hearing/November 3, 2987 <br /> <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
