PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COU5~rY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission conducted a regular meeting on <br />Thursday, June 18, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. John Lichter, Chairman <br />Mr. Bill Rustad <br />Mr. Ron Hetland <br />Ms. Janice Johnson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Building Official Elvin Erickson <br />Public Works Superintendent Merle Mevissen <br />Merland Otto, Hakanson/Anderson Engineering <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Don Lokker <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Lichter called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />C~e #2: Discussion Re~arding Development Plan For Central Park: <br /> <br />Merland Otto was present to review four alternatives for a Central Park <br />layout that included either one or two park buildings to be developed for <br />teen center, storage area, warming house, restrooms, etc.; roadways and <br />parking areas; additional athletic fields and skating/hockey rinks. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Rustad <br />approving the Central Park layout concept referred to as Alternative D <br />which includes a warming house located adjacent to skating rinks, a <br />multipurpose building located centrally to athletic fields and additional <br />roadways/parking areas located near skating and athletic field areas. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Rustad and Hetland. Voting No: <br />Shumway. <br /> <br />Chairman Lichter, Commissioners Johnson, <br /> None. Absent: Commissioners Lokker and <br /> <br />Case #1: Interviews With Aoolicants For Position On Commission: <br /> Park & Recreation/June 18, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
