The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, March 3, 1987 at the Ramsey Mm%icipel Center, 15153 N~fchen Blvd. <br />N.W., l~sey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Charles Christian's request for a <br />conditi(mal use permit to store vehicles and operate an automobile sales <br />lot in the ~B l~ral Business District. <br /> <br />Members Present.' <br /> <br />Mr. Ben ~er <br />Mr. Gerald Zin~nerm~n <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Terry ~andriksen <br />Mr. Jim ~owell <br /> <br />Also Present: Ommmmity Develolm~nt Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 8:10 <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Christian stated that he is developing l~msey Commercial Park <br />and is requesting a conditional use permit to have a motor home/auto/truck/ <br />recreational vehicles sales lot at that location. <br /> <br />Dave Nathan - (~er of Riverside Parts on ~y. 10 - Inquired if this area <br />is zoned for recreational vehicle sales. <br /> <br />Commissioner I)e~mer stated that P~m~sey's business codes are inadequate with <br />respect to specifying allowable land use activities and so conditional use <br />permits are necessary in a lot of cases. <br /> <br />Mr. T~m Kurak - 15001 Sunfish Y~ke Blvd. - Stated 'rolling businesses' are <br />good development to have ~til that time when a higher use of the property <br />is desired. <br /> <br />Motion by C~_ {_ssioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />adjourn the lmblic hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, <br />Shm~ay, Zim~erman, Y~nue, ~eudriksen and Howell.
